About Aviation Marine Insurance Services
Our primary objective is to protect your financial interests in the event of an aviation accident, be it minor or catastrophic. Our secondary objective is to control your insurance costs.
Aviation Marine Insurance Services was founded for aviators by an aviator. Roger Gault had flown helicopters in Vietnam and then off of oil-platforms. After a stint with National Aviation Underwriters, Roger formed Aviation Marine Insurance in 1979 as an independent aviation insurance agency.
Larry has been with the firm for over ten years; he specializes in agricultural aviation and offers financial counsel for our clients. He came to Aviation Marine with a background in real estate finance. Larry holds bachelors and masters degrees from Stanford University and the University of Virginia respectively; he is also a former Navy officer.
Aviation Marine acquired a wealth of aviation experience when Ed Bougher merged his firm with ours in 2004. Ed was an Army aviator and instructor during the Vietnam War. He founded his aviation insurance agency in 1976, building his business along California's central coast, where he continues to serve Aviation Marine's clients today.
Pat came to Aviation Marine to strengthen our accounting department. She has subsequently broadened her scope of knowledge and is now an invaluable expert in the complexities of aviation insurance.
Scott has been with Aviation Marine since 2007. During that time he has competed in two Olympic Games, earned a Bronze medal, and developed a small extension to the business in San Diego. He has since retired from rowing and has dedicated that available time and energy to Aviation Marine Insurance Services. Scott holds a Private license with an Instrument rating.
